[12] Nothing Happened

Davey wandered barefoot along the abandoned railroad tracks behind his family’s trailer — almost stepped on a busted bottle of Jack.

He walked until he stumbled upon an old, engraved sign in the woods:

On August 17th, 1819, in this exact location, nothing happened.

Davey snorted — almost laughed — then headed home.

  1. Good story, Justin! I miss the Friday Fix and I don’t do Twitter, but I can always follow you here!
    How crazy would it be to come upon a sign that old and that strange in the middle of the woods…or anywhere!

    1. Thanks, Kim. Ironically enough there used to be such a sign I remember from childhood. I don’t remember what it said exactly, but it was something to that effect.

      Regarding Friday Fix…I have some very good news to share. I’ll be posting here in just a minute!
